Lots of people want to “make money on the Internet.” What many fail to realize is making money on the Internet requires that you treat this like any other money-making opportunity. You must work at it, you must establish market reach and you must gain visibility. Also, you must develop a solid foundation.

Internet Marketing Opt-In Lists - What are you doing?

Gold When I consult with my clients more times than not one of the greatest concerns they have is how to increase reach to a targeted market while keeping costs down. Hands down, effectively using the power of the Internet is the cornerstone to achieving this outcome. More times than not, people are not using their Internet presence as effectively as they can.

I often see a company that has a website that looks great from a design perspective, yet from a marketing and sales perspective the site is not working. Many people are under the mistaken belief that if a potential customer or client visits their site they will be so impressed they will automatically return time and again. Fact is, this is not what happens in the real world of the Internet. Chances are within minutes most visitors have forgotten sites they looked at unless there was something that encouraged them to remember.

Why would you assume I want to be your affiliate?

Parnter In the last few weeks I have become an affiliate partner to several people. The thing is though, I didn't sign myself up as an affiliate. Someone in the office of the person I am now an affiliate of signed me up without me requesting them to do so.

Although some of these partnerships could be very beneficial, it's essential to keep in mind that if someone wants to become an affiliate of yours or someone you work for, you need to find out if they want to be an affiliate rather than simply making the assumption they do.

Social Networking Etiquette...Why should I accept your invitation?

Insane With the onslaught of Social Networking opportunities some people seem to think common sense and manners don’t apply.

The reality is, Social Networks are like any other type of network. Most sane people wouldn’t walk up to someone at a business meeting, ask for their card and say, “Okay, now you are my friend and I am going to slam you with stupid phone calls, junk mail and other useless garbage.”

More likely, they would introduce themselves, find a point of commonality and take it from there.

So why is it that in virtually any social network available a lot of people send others invitations to join their network with nothing beyond the invitation? The more well known someone is, the more useless invitations they likely get.

Internet marketing! It's driving me crazy!

Internet I have been involved with the Internet for years. I use the Internet as a primary part of my overall marketing. I absolutely love what is possible because of it. However, it hasn't always been that way.

When I first began my journey into cyberspace I had no idea that this would turn from a casual interest to my livelihood. Why you need to give information away

I often receive inquiries from people who wonder how they can increase market reach, establish credibility and market trust. The easiest way to do this is to showcase your expertise.

There are a number of ways to do this. One of the most effective is by offering a free report, eBook or teleseminar. I find all three work exceptionally well if the quality of the offer is stellar.

The primary benefit of offering free information before you ever ask for a sale is three fold.
