Those who can't....teach. Is that the dumbest thing you have ever heard?

Those who can't … teach! Is that the dumbest line you have ever heard? Truth be told, why would anyone want to learn how to build a business from someone who can't or hasn't?

 

Think about it. If you are going to learn how to do something, say Internet Marketing, why in the world would you even consider learning from someone who doesn’t have a proven track record?

 

And yet, the mantra, “Those who can’t….teach” is repeated over and over and over.

I greatly admire you so when I say this, it is said gently. Yes, often those who can't do teach. Concert piano teachers are not necessesarily the world's finest pianists though they coach the world's best pianists. The same goes for vocal coaches, business coaches, language teachers, even politicians. And those who are the most brilliant in their field are often NOT blessed with the ability to teach. The teacher masters their field of "knowledge" and their additional gift is to understand the technique and art in a way that allows them to impart it to others who might be more blessed in that field. Teaching itself is it's own "art," whether or not you are at the top of the field of which you are the practitioner. You are at the top as a teacher. I'm glad you're moderating these b/c I'm really just sharing this opinion with you. It's an interesting topic.
