Blogging is so simple virtually anyone can do it

Blogging is so simple even I can do it!

That's what someone new to the Blogosphere said to me recently. For quite some time they had been avoiding blogging simply because they didn't understand it. The fact is, blogging can be one of the easiest, yet most powerful tools for your online presence. There are so many incredible benefits.

Here are just a few:
Visibility
Credibility
Opportunity to express your opinion
Opportunity to create a dialogue where none existed
A chance to be heard
You can use a blog to write your next book (more on that in an upcoming post)

The fact is, blogging can be one of the easiest points of entry to Internet Marketing. If you can write a shopping list, if you can journal, if you can write a letter to a friend or business associate, you can blog.

The key though is to simply get started. And once you begin, get in the habit of blogging at least three times a week. You can actually schedule time into your day to blog. Put 15 minutes a day aside for blogging and within a very short period of time you will make it a part of your daily routine.

A while back I began scheduling in the first 30 minutes of my day to blog. Before I even check email, I am committed to blogging. The reason I put 30 minutes aside is because I have more than one blog. I have my Internet Marketing blog (www.themarketingmindset.com) and my spiritual blog called Daily Awareness. www.dailyawwareness.com.

Each has its own genre and market. I find that by blogging first thing in the morning, rather than jumping into my emails, my day is more productive. One of the main reasons is that I can take one thing of my list of tasks for the day. Second, I don't immediately get caught in the deep dark rabbit hole emails can take me down.

Think about it. When you start your day with email, no matter how good your intention of only spending "a few minutes" reading and responding, do you often find hours have passed and you wonder, "Hmmmm, where did the day go?"

Try blogging first thing in the morning for 5 days and see if there is any difference in the flavor of your day.  I think you may be surprised.

Excellent post. I've been bloggin' on and off for a year. I've now committed to a blog with a plan. I love that I can talk about my passion of being a hearing child of deaf adults, CODA.

It's so easy that I have been able to change features and styles, on my own. I don't recommend for the very beginner, but even without much html knowledge I do it.

I love the idea of setting aside posts. I also have a folder with a document of all the ideas I want to post about should I have a mental block.
